avatar-203.pngHello and thanks for visiting my personal website where you’ll find some posts and resources on missional church and some of my interests.

I’m married to Amanda and we have three children: Kate (18), Philip (8) and Hannah (6). We live in the beautiful City of York (which is in the North of England). I’m a member of St Michael-le-Belfrey church and specifically involved in leading a café-church called G2. Both of these churches are part of the Church of England (Anglican) in the Diocese of York.

I work for Alpha International (which is the charity that supports the Alpha course). My role is regional Director of the North of England (called Alpha North). This is the view from where I work. Previously I have worked as the assitant pastor of Bishop’s Stortford Community Church and the founding pastor of York City Church (both part of Newfrontiers). Before going to University I worked as a camera salesman, a door-to-door brush salesman and a lard packer! My childhood ambition was to become a sub-atomic particle physicist, discover a new partial and name it after myself … the Selvaratron!

I studied Mathematics and Theoretical Computation at Warwick University - I still have no idea why I picked that subject! I’m currently studying for an MA in Theology and Ministry at Cranmer Hall Durham.
